Sweet Cheesy Cookies
(Dog Treats Recipe)

Ingredients:

• 2 Beef or chicken stock cubes in 3/4 boiling water
• 1/2cup oil
• 1/2 tsp Vanilla
• 1/2cup shortening
• 1cup honey
• 1/3cup cheddar cheese
• 1/4cup Low-Fat Haloumi Cheese
• 2eggs
• 5 + 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour 
• 2tsp cream of tarter
• 1tsp baking soda

Coating:

1/2cup cornmeal (cornstarch -cornflour)

2tbsp cinnamon 

Directions:-

1. Pre-heat oven to 200'C
2. Mix the stock,oil,shortening,vanilla. 
3. Beat in the eggs, Honey.
4. Mix in the Flour, baking soda, cream of tarter.
5. Add the cheese & Mix well.
6. Use either a dough hook for 1-2minutes or hand knead for 3-4 (a ball should form)
7. Roll out 1/4inch - 1/2inch thick on floured surface, cut out shapes (be careful moving to Greased baking sheet as the dough easily stretches) 
8. Mix the cornflour and cinnamon and using a pastry brush, brush the top side of the cookies.
9. Back for 8-10minutes

*Freeze for longer use in an air tight container.

*you can substitute the cheeses for carrot and/or Corn to create Sweet Veggie Cookies

*better quality honey = better quality cookie
