Why Dogs Fight
Here are some reasons to why Dogs become aggressive and why they fight
- Jealousy: If one dog feels your giving the other more attention he's likely to start a fight.
- Pack Order: If there is a pack without a clear pack order that can cause fighting usually between dogs of the same gender.
- UnSocialized: if you have a dog that isn't properly socialized it might not have the knowledge on wants going on around him or how to react, and can become aggressive.
- First Meeting: If your new dog and your current don't meet in neutral territory it can cause one to be territorial and start a fight.
- Fear: When a dog is scared "Fight or Flight" kicks in and he may either run and hide OR become aggressive in selfdefense.
- Hunger: when you get hungry you get cranky and so does your Dog! ... Being hungry can cause a dog to snap very easily.
- Lack of Exercise: can lead to a build up of energy and if a dog isn't taken for a regular walk that energy can become aggression
- Past Abuse: It's very hard for a dog to get over an abuser, same is true for humans.
- Frustration/Anger: When a Dog can't let out it's anger it can snap at anyone or anything in its way, Causes of this is all of the above and more.
